HILL OF TARA

Our adventure begins at the Hill of Tara, believed by many to be the soul of Ireland. Tara consists of several monuments and earthworks dating back to the Neolithic to Iron Ages. For over 1,500 years, the grounds have been used for burials and according to tradition, it is where Irish kings claimed their power, where St. Patrick converted the pagans to christianity and where Daniel O’Connell rallied Irish patriots in 1843 to declare their independence from Britain.

As you arrive to the solemn site, you are led to the top of the Hill of Tara where the Lia Fáil, or Stone of Destiny, stands out of the ground and surrounded by radiating stone tiles. As you look down at the stones underfoot, you notice some of them have letters carved into them. This is your first puzzle. You must decipher their meaning and provide a password to earn your first set of clues leading to the Irish Crown Jewels.
